Bernard Turner Obituary
Bernard Dewayne Turner was born to the late Mr. Bob Tanner and Ms. Judy Turner on September 11, 1973, in Huntsville, Alabama. Bernard was educated in the county school system graduating from Sparkman High. He later went on to attain an Associate of Secretarial Sciences degree from Virginia College in Birmingham, Alabama. Bernard worked in restaurant management for several years until he began his career with Expo/Diamond Displays in Birmingham, Alabama, where he worked until his health began to fail.
Our beloved soul was called by God to rest on September 3, 2009. Mourning his loss yet rejoicing in his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior are his domestic partner, Ms. Latonya King of Birmingham, Alabama; three beautiful children, son, Romell, and fraternal twins; son, Rasheed and daughter, Rachel of Dallas, Texas; Bernard's mother, Ms. Judy Turner; six brothers, Curtis Tanner, Kenneth (Erika) Tanner, Bobby (Talmawanda) Tanner, Joseph (Sandra) Turner, Alvin (Quita) Coleman, and Timothy (Shalonda) Coleman; four sisters, Bobbie Jean Tanner, Naomi (Sterling) Griffith, Sheena Coleman, and Whitney Turner all of Huntsville, Alabama; special cousin, Jamie Turner of Nashville, Tennessee; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009, at the Royal Chapel of Memories. Interment will be held in Smith Cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009; 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009.
