It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Julia Russell Cummings (Huntsville, Alabama), born in Quincy, Florida, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Russell and Hazel Russell; her brother Richard Russell (Uncle Dick); her aunt Nordice; and her sister Emily R. Brady (Donal Brady).
She is survived by: her children, Vicki C. McCurry (Ralph), Robert E. Cummings, Jr., Carol A. Cummings and Laura C. Thomson (Tim); her grandchildren, Wes McCurry (Jennifer), Michael McCurry (Tracy), Griffin McCurry, Robert Cummings, III (Madison), Nell Cummings and Robert Thomson (Christina); and her great grandchildren, Olivia McCurry, Lucy McCurry, Lilly Collins, Cole Collins, Wesley McCurry, Michael McCurry, Jr., Foster McCurry, Xavier Creighton, Kayla Thomson and Robert Cummings, IV. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
