He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kennedy and Ferbie Patterson Kennedy; and his son Rickey Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Nellie D. Kennedy; his children, Phillip D. Kennedy (Ruth), Timothy B. Kennedy and Pamela J. Kennedy; his brother Jerry Kennedy; and his son-in-law Clarence Putlovis. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
