He was predeceased by: his parent Lula Mae Slayton Boedeker; and his sisters, Joyce Ayers, Peggy Parham and Sherry Bulman. He is survived by: his wife Linda Slayton; his sons, Joel Slayton (Sharon) of Winchester, TN and David Slayton (Julie) of Huntsville, AL; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Caitlyn, Edwin, Stephanie and Mimi.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to Childhaven.
