He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Bofenkamp and Margaret Bofenkamp; and his sisters, Patricia Bofenkamp and Barbara Kiser. He is survived by: his wife Dot; his children, Michael Bofenkamp (Karen), Susanne Winter (Stan) and Brent Bofenkamp (Wendy); his brothers, Steve Bofenkamp (Nikki), Dan Bofenkamp (Stacie) and John Bofenkamp (Chris); his sister-in-law Patti DiPretore; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Hudson, Page Bofenkamp and Kinley Grace Winter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Downtown Rescue Mission of Huntsville or the Huntsville Humane Society.
