He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Benton Apple and Hallie Carter Apple; and his grandson Gary Stephen Apple, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ernestine; his children, Gary Apple (Stacey), Karen Young (Doug), Kevin Apple and Kimberly Apple; and his grandchildren, Lori Maldonado (Hector), Ross Mistretta and Blake Mistretta.
