He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sylvester Cornelius Jr. and Frances Harris Cornelius. He is survived by: his wife Carol Mackebee Cornelius; and his children, Karen Cornelius Armbrester (Paul), Charles Stephen Cornelius (Amy), William Scott Cornelius (Theresa) and Jill Ellen Cornelius Irvin (Eric). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
