She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Nelson and Doris Nelson; her stepson Buford Hillis, Jr.; and her brother David Nelson. She is survived by: her husband Buford Wade Hillis; her grandchildren, Trinity Wade Hillis, Heaven Lee Christine Hillis, Aubrey Gaile Hillis, Brooklyn Kay Hillis and Braden Odell Hillis; Charlotte and Buford Wade Hillis.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel Funeral Home (3552 Hwy 231, Laceys Spring, AL 35754). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
