He was predeceased by: his parents, C. C. "Ted" Fountain, Sr. and Esther Fountain; his sister Caroline Sowell; and his grandson Kevin Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Martha Dickerson Fountain; his sons, C. C. "Ted" Fountain, III (Leah) and Leon D. "Dick" Fountain; his grandchildren, Will Fountain (Alana), Missy Congo, Anna Leigh Rowe (Zach) and Olivia Fountain; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Congo, Addison Congo, Lexia Garrett, Jaden Garrett and Carter "Maverick" Fountain.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Alabama or a favorite local charity.
