She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmitt Thompson and Grace Thompson; and her siblings, Lenard and Joyce (Raymond). She is survived by: her husband Raymond McLaughlin; and her sons, Andy (Lynsey) and Robbie (McKell).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care.
