He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Caldwell; his son EdLe Caldwell, Jr.; his parents, Hubert Caldwell and Sara Caldwell; and his siblings, H. H. Caldwell, Marvin Caldwell and Doris Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy C Watson (Will Gaspard) and Clark Caldwell (Sandi); his daughter-in-law Patty Grant (Rick); his grandchildren, Stephanie Karigan (Chris), Brian Caldwell, Melissa Shaw (Ryan), Patrick Watson, Edward H. Caldwell and Jennifer Gimenez (Adrian); his great grandchildren, Carson, Natalie, Addison, Cory, Will, Teresa and Vivienne; and his siblings, Edith Harris and Fred Caldwell of Appomattox, VA..
