She was predeceased by: her husband George Herschel Woolley; her daughters, Beth and Alana; and her parents, Walter Earl and Julia Edna Etheredge.
She is survived by: her sons, George Herschel Woolley and Junior (Marsha); and her grandchildren, Laura Hardin (Andy), Meredith Jackson (Jon), Joel Rowland, Caryn Woolley, Brooke Frost (Chad), Jon Woolley (Emily) and Meg Sutton. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations in Gene's honor be made to the WEDC's Women Honoring Women, Downtown Rescue Mission, Food Bank of North Alabama, or Food Bank of West Alabama.
