She was predeceased by: her parents, Eutalie Mary Schocke and Arthur Chesterfield Schocke; her husband Henry Miller Shuey, Sr. (Hank); and her son Henry Miller Shuey, Jr. (Hank). She is survived by: her children, Lora Elizabeth Abernathy (Gary) of Huntsville and Paul Charles Shuey (Myrna) of Lubbock, TX; her daughter-in-law Susan Shuey of Naples, FL; her grandchildren, Kimberly Brooke Shuey Hackman (Trevor) of Chapel Hill, NC, Meredith Noelle Shuey Etherington (Simon) of Ross, CA, Mary Martha Abernathy of St. Louis, MO, Gary Douglas Abernathy Jr. (Ashley) of Birmingham, AL, John Daniel Abernathy (Phoebe) of New Orleans, LA, Rachel Marie Shuey Stolp (Ty) of Lubbock, TX, Paul Charles Shuey, Jr. (Megan) of Bowie, MD and Kaylee Belle Shuey of Lubbock, TX; her great grandchildren, Kiersten Hackman, Lance Hackman and Brooke Hackman of Chapel Hill, NC; and her grandchildren, Henry Etherington, George Etherington of Ross, CA, Mitchell Gitonga of Saint Louis, MO, Arlin Abernathy, Gary D. Abernathy III, Virginia Abernathy, Charlotte Anne Abernathy of Birmingham, AL and Theodore Frances Stolp.
