Geneva L. Marcum Childers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geneva L. Marcum Childers of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on June 5, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Marcum and Eva Marcum (Burris); and her siblings, Bonnie Hatfield, Gwen Marcum, Barbara Johnson, Joann Verdung, Shirley Shelton, Wendell Marcum, Glyn Marcum and Jim Marcum.
She is survived by: her husband Jakie Childers; her children, Jake Childers (Katherine) and Kathy McCurdy (Patrick); her brothers, Richard Marcum (Becky) and Larry Marcum; and her grandchildren, Jillian McCurdy, Matthew McCurdy, Joshua Childers, Jacob Childers and Joseph Childers. She is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Talbott Funeral Home (1106 N Cross St, Albany, KY 42602). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
