She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Swaim. She is survived by: her children, Belinda Stevenson and Steve Stevenson; her grandchildren, Lindsay Blackwell (Richmond), Emily Earle (Bryan) and Payne Stevenson (Sherayah); her niece Sandra Armstrong; and her nephew Wesley Cleveland. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Alabama Alumni Fund.
