She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Lee West; her parents, George Cagle and Virginia Cagle; her siblings, Billy Ray Baker and Donnie Goodman; her stepdaughter Jesse Carlson; and her great grandchild Ivy Rayne Neal.
She is survived by: her sons, Josh West (Tina) of Valparaiso and James West (JJ) of Bismarck, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Andrea Gray (Levi), Miranda Lewallen (Kyle), Haleigh Earnest, Dalton Meadows (Carrisa), Bryanna West, Myleigh, Austin West and Freyja Mclaughlin; her great grandchildren, Kayden Lewallen, Kason Lewallen, Charlie Lewallen, Kylar Gray, Kairi Gray, Willow Neal and Riley Meadows; and her brother-in-law Dennis Goodman. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ardmore, Alabama Fire Department in Gennie's memory.
