He is survived by: his wife Sally A. Shepard (Gramzow); his sister Susan Jane Mease of Colorado Springs, CO; his son Thatch Shepard, Jr. (Jennie); his grandchildren, Samantha Mae Hidalgo (Joaquin), Captain Mollie Shepard (Romania) and Lieutenant J. Thatcher Shepard; and his great grandchildren, Shep, Lucy Mae, Henry and Helen Hidalgo of Ridgeland, MS.
