He was predeceased by: his mother Catherine M. Anderson; and his sisters, Polly and Mary. He is survived by: his father Axel H. Anderson; his wife Louise; his daughter Kristen Oldfield; his grandchildren, Oliva and Otis of Huntsville, AL.; and his nephew Scott Watson (Rita) of Virginia Beach.

He was always thinking of others welfare and a very generous tipper and donated to many non-profit organizations.
