He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Drake and Gladys Drake (Casey). He is survived by: his wife Louise Kilpatrick Drake; his sister Barbara Conner (Wayne); his daughters, Teresa Barnett and Lisa Messer (Jerry); his grandsons, Brad Barnett (Bridget), Jim Barnett (Kim) and Blake Messer (Susan); his great grandchildren, Leah Barnett, Beau Barnett, Stella Humphres, Remy Barnett and Lottie Messer; his nephew Michael Conner (Camille); and his niece Kristie Conner.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville (2411 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at the Maple Hill Cemetery (202 Maple Hill St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801).
