He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Haygood Balch; his son James Wade Balch of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Ryan Dee Balch (Amanda) of Huntsville and Erin Ann Balch Wasson (Christopher) of Auburn; his great grandchild Brielle Makenna Wasson; and his siblings, Ray Balch (Susan) of Sheffield, AL, Anthony Balch of Huntsville, Zelma Lee Hayes of Muscle Shoals, AL, Marcie Thalia Bullock (Orris) of Florence, AL, Ruth Mashburn of Loretta, TN, Carol Riddle (Frankie) of Tuscumbia, AL and Melinda Gail McGee (Larry) of Florence, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery.
