He is survived by: his children, Jim Hammond (Stacey) of Huntsville and Julie Varner (Mark) of Franklin, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Brian Lane (Amanda) of Ocala, Craig Lane (Kristin) of Euless, Georgia Hammond of Etowah, Nathan, Alex, Fisher Moore of Huntsville, Ben Fraker of Signal Mountain, Sarah Fraker of Huntsville, Joshua and Jeremiah Mittler of Macon, Georgia; and his siblings, Jerry Martin of Macon, Fay Baker (John) of Quitman, Steve Hammond (Kim) of Juliette and Angie Clark (Dean) of Watts, Oklahoma. He is also survived by many nephews and great grandchildren.
