She was predeceased by: her mother J. M. Crawford of Arab, Alabama; and her sister Mary Tinkler (John) of Chattanooga. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Ward P. Welty; her son Ryan Welty (Alison); her granddaughters, Margaret Welty, Elizabeth Welty and Abigail Welty; her sister Pat Norton (John); and her sisters-in-law, Miriam Trangsrud of Tucson, AZ and Harriet Rochefort (Philippe) of Paris, France..
