She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Taylor and Inez Guthrie Taylor Jr.. She is survived by: her husband David Emery of Huntsville, Alabama.. She is also survived by cat lady who rescued abandoned cats and leaves behind five cats.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maple Hill Cemetery (202 Maple Hill St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801).
