It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Simpson of Huntsville, Alabama, born in Pasadena, Texas, who passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Sims and Valentine Sims. She is survived by: her husband James Ray Simpson; her children, Cheryl May, Jimmie Cherry, Gaylene Wilson (Mark), Charlotte Carter, Debra Key (Tab), Jamie Simpson and Chuck Simpson; her grandchildren, Aimee May, Jenna Cherry Klein, Jacob Cherry, Nathan Broussard, Danny Broussard, Jessica Guillory, Kelsey Hanna, Kendra Hanna Flores, Kaylee Hanna, Andrew Simpson, Amanda Simpson, Aaron Simpson and Seth Simpson; and her great grandchildren, Alyssa Borel, Carson May, Molly Klein, Sarah Klein, Payton Cherry, Morgan LaCombe, Riley Guillory, Korey Collins, Kayden Hanna, Jorge Flores Jr., Camila Flores, Emory Flores, Izaiah Williams, Kayliah Hanna and Rhett DeBarge.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Farley Community Church (12302 Bell Rd SW, Huntsville, AL 35803). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Consolata Cemetery (2300 Country Club Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
