He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Stanford and Roberta Stanford (Hogan); his in-laws, Jake and Georgia Williams; and his siblings-in-law, Dan Williams and Shelia Stanford.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Stanford; his children, Della Johnson (Bryan), Will Stanford (Stephanie) and Jesse Stanford; his granddaughter Olivia Leigh Stanford; his brothers, Glen Stanford (Linda), Stanley Stanford, Tim Stanford (Kathy) and Mark Stanford (Margo); and his sister-in-law Kay C Williams. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, great and great-great nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Athens Bible School.
