He is survived by: his wife Ann Fite Whitaker; his daughter Leann Scheiman (John); his grandsons, James Fite Scheiman and John Whitaker Scheiman; and his sisters, Joy Howell (Wendall) of Macon, GA, Wanda Fitzgerald (Scott) of Macon, GA and Diana Howell (Kenneth) of Albany, GA. He is also survived by four nephews and one niece.
