John Royce Tate Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2020, at the age of 77, John Royce Tate (Huntsville, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Tate and Geneva Inman Tate. He is survived by: his wife Linda Faye Bass Tate; his children, Lisa Ann Tate Walden (Jim), Lynn Tate Hartselle (Larry) and Jason Patrick Tate (Aynsley); his grandchildren, Chad Anderson (Brittany), Clay Anderson, Lindsay Hartselle Hamric (Carter), Lacy Hartselle, Luke Hartselle and Connor P. Tate; his great grandchildren, Nash, Grady Anderson, Ellis, Essie Tate Hamric, Ava, Kristin and Jameson Walden; his brother Tom Tate (Lou); his aunts, Mary Frances White and Ethel Inman; and his sisters-in-law, Alice Gooch and Peggy Bass. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in Mr. Tate's memory to the Homebound Ministry of Whitesburg Baptist Church, The Hacienda of Hope Children's Home in Ecuador (hoh.ec), Samaritan's Purse, or St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
