He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lemuel Jewel (L. J.) and Verdie H. Powell; his wife Gertrude Bradley of Atlanta, Georgia.; and his sons, Michael and David. He was also cherished by his two sons and their wives, ten grandchildren, and thirty great grandchildren.
