He was predeceased by: his daughters, Pamela Lee and Sandra Lee Mitchell; his grandchildren, Scott Alexander Mitchell and Savannah Leigh Hancock; his siblings, Raymond Mitchell and Mary Jane Salansky; his great grandchild Mark William Adams; and his parents, Stephen Mitchell (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Elizabeth Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Lorna Isabella Mitchell; his children, George Stephen Mitchell and Christy Mitchell Adams; and his brothers, Paul Henry Mitchell and Stephen J. Mitchell.
