She was predeceased by: her husband James (Jim); her parents, James Robert Hughes and Leona Hickson Hughes; and her siblings, James Monroe Hughes, Averine Hughes Manning and Nelda Hughes Laney.
She is survived by: her son Ricky (Barbie); her grandson Griffin Peek; her sister Loyce Hughes Esslinger; and also, Charles McClain Hughes and Reba Hughes Rosebrough. She is also survived by four nieces; and eleven nephews.
