It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Yvonne Shumate of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah A. Cole Roberson and Herbert Lee Roberson; and her sister Bobbie. She is survived by: her children, Vickie Gail Roach (David), Lloyd Lee Shumate (Ann) and Kellee Ann Beaufait (Bruce); her grandchildren, Sarah (Mike), Jamie (David), Emily (Brandon), Jake (Lindsey), Rachel (Christian), Katie (Chris), Kristen (Joe) and Kelsey (Devan); and her siblings, Barbara Roberson Cooke, Shirley Roberson Yell (Gene) and Paul Douglas Roberson (Beth).
