She was predeceased by: her mother Rita Faye Thomas; her grandparents, Marjorie Shelton and Jack Shelton; and her caregiver Marjorie Shelton. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Frederick "Fritz" Owens; her daughters, Ashley King Harbin (Chad) and Kristen Elayne Strickland (Jonathan); her granddaughters, Harper Ann Harbin and Jenna Kaye Harbin; her sister Rebecca Yant (Dan); and her nephew Daniel Yant (Candice).
