He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Couch and Joann Couch; his brother Jimmy Ellis; and his grandparents, Morris B. Locke, Avalyn Locke-McCrary and Odell Couch.

He is survived by: his wife Terri Couch; his sons, Aaron (Jill), Austin (Morgan) and Addison (Katlyn); his grandchildren, Christian, Ethan, Aaron, Emily, Elijah and Mersadie; his sisters, Ava Rosetti and Jerri Gabardi (Dale); and his sister-in-law Pam Tipton (Tony). He is also survived by five nieces and one nephew.
