He is survived by: his sons, Gene Medley II (Tammy), Billy Medley (Sarah), John Medley (Courtney), Jesse Medley and Josey Medley; and his siblings, Johnny Medley (Rachael), Robert Medley (Sharron), Carolyn Cochran and Joyce Meeks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
