She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jackson Grimes, Sr. and Lillian Smith Grimes; and her brother Thomas Jackson Grimes, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Herman Oswell; her children, Julie Chandler (Mack), David Oswell (Melissa), Bill Oswell (Linda) and Jim Oswell (Julie); and her brother John Russell Grimes. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and their spouses; seven great-grandchildren.
