With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Welch La Canne of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on May 20, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Stephen, Evelyn Barutio, Michael and Dola Welch; her uncles, William Barutio and Matthew Welch; and her great-aunt Marie Welch.
She is survived by: her parents, Mike Welch and Stephanie Welch; her children, Sgt. Jason LaCanne and Stevie LaCanne; her daughter-in-law Kathryn LaCanne; her grandchildren, Colton and Hunter LaCanne; her brother Brian Welch; her sister-in-law Karen Welch; and her sibling's children, Madeline Welch and Dylan Welch.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Laura returned to work as a front-end manager and deli chef at Kroger, where her warmth and humor were cherished by coworkers and customers alike.
