She was predeceased by: her parents, Ester Hiatt Sellers and H. Lyman Sellers; and her brothers, Ronald, James and Kenneth Robert Sellers.

She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Kauffman; her sons, William "Billy" Kauffman (Leah) of Huntsville and Douglas; her grandchildren, Collier, Carter, Katherine and Lily Kauffman; and her brother Dr. David Lee Sellers (Maureen) of Huntsville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
