She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ellis Walker and Lorea Burnham Walker of Magee, MS; her stepmother Jessie Halle Walker of Magee, MS.; her husband Walter Matthews of Magee, MS; and her brother W. A. Walker of Magee, MS..
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Matthews (Jennifer) of Huntsville, AL and Judy Bush (Kevin) of Harvest, AL; her grandchildren, Laurel Matthews, Michael Matthews, John David Bush, Katherine Lois Bush and Daniel Bush; and her nephews, John Walker of Magee, MS and Roger Walker of Jackson, MS.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their assistance and support during the last few months of her life. n lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Missions.
