She was predeceased by: her husband Hallman Johnson; and her brothers, Nick A. Cassenta (Frances) and Santo L. Cassenta. She is survived by: her niece Janice Cassenta; and her nephew Joseph Cassenta (Patti). She is also survived by several cousins and many lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church General Fund, or the U.S. Veteran's Memorial Museum.
