He is survived by: his wife Patricia Deeny (Doyle) of Huntsville; his children, Louis D. Barbieri, Michael Barbieri, Carmella Barbieri, Marta Meyer and Thomas Deeny (Tamara); his granddaughter Kara; and his sister Rita Melany.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or any Veterans of Foreign War organization.
