She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Parks and Vera Lilly Parks; and her husband John Higgins. She is survived by: her children, Bill Higgins (Barbara) of Auburn, AL, John Higgins (Anna Jean) of Lake City, FL, Richard Higgins of Huntsville and Melinda Higgins of New Hope, AL. She is also survived by three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelter or rescue center.
