He is survived by: his wife Diane Mahaffey Lee; his children, Kimberly Burkett Knight (Ken) and Christopher Caldwell Lee; his grandchildren, James Tyler Graham (Dakota), Allison Brooke Graham and Andrew Dawson Crow; and his children, Sarah Elizabeth McCormick (Grant) and William Tennent Lee (Cammie).

The family requests no flowers, but would appreciate gifts in his memory to Big Cove Presbyterian Church (USA), 175 Campground Road, Brownsboro, Alabama 35741; Osher Lifetime Learning Institute, at University of Alabama in Huntsville; or Russell Hill Cancer Foundation, 3601 CCI Drive, Huntsville, AL 35805.
