It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Sue Smith Hutchens of Huntsville, Alabama, born in Cullman, Alabama, who passed away on May 4, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Vernon Hutchens, Jr.; her mother T. A. Smith; and her niece Kim Marie Smith McGlothlen. She is survived by : her sons, Fisher Hutchens (Johanna) and Thomas Hutchens; her grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth and John Fisher Hutchens; her brothers, Thomas A. Smith, Jr. (Becky), Sherrill Smith (Barbara) and William "Babe" Smith (Rose Ann); and her nieces and nephews, John William McCaleb, III (Anita), Robert Hutchens McCaleb, Stephen Cooper Smith (Amy), Tom David Smith (Stephanie), Martha Cosentino (Stephen), Melinda Yarbrough (Kyron), Catherine Bennett (Todd), Chrissy Brown (Mike) and Ann Margaret Smith.
