He was predeceased by: his mother Norma Jean Owens; and his stepfather Paul Owens. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Cross; his children, Stephanie Hagood (Tyler), Kristin Wilson (Joey), Samantha Cross and Matthew Cross, Jr.; his grandchild Luca Hagood; and his sisters, Morena, Dawn and Diane Cross.
