It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Sue Champion of Huntsville, Alabama, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melba Sue Champion to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lonza Brock and Mittie Williams Brock; her husband Jack H. Champion; and her siblings, Maxine Hunter, Betty Whitehead and Byron H. Brock.

She is survived by : her children, Jeffery J. Champion (Patti), Belinda Murphy (David) and Gregory L. Champion (Laura); her grandchildren, Cole Champion, Kristen Edwards (Luke), Amy Witt (Andrew), Austin Harris (Shelby), Joshua Champion (Brianna), Baskin McFarland (Andrew), Abby Champion and Luke Champion; and her siblings, Janis Lucas, Syble Warren and Wyndle Brock. She is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren.

During covid, she was no longer able to work and eventually moved into assisted living at Danberry at Inverness and later to Wellpoint Senior Living in Huntsville.

The family requests any donations to be made to The Big Oak Ranch, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or The St. Jude Children's Hospital.
