He was predeceased by: his siblings, Leroy and Mary; his daughter Leann; and his parents, Clyde Herschel Yates and Juanita Lorean Collard.
He is survived by: his wife Betty J. Yates; his daughters, Denise Perris (Brian), Vicki Malone (Keith), Terri Jones (Dean) and Cora Yates Richard (Michael); and his siblings, Jerry Gunther (Connie) and Connie Davis. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
