He was predeceased by: his parents, Grayson D. Tate and Viola Hope Tate. He is survived by: his wife Anne Hashagen of Darien, CT; his children, Debra T. (Bruce Gillingham), Randy (Jill Tate), Lauren T. (Phil Mathis) and Lisa A. Tate of Huntsville; his grandchildren, Drew (Tayler Mathis), Jon (Kate Mathis), Daniel (Taylor Mathis) and Kyle (Ashley Tate); and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Walter, Julia Mathis, Hudson Mathis, River Mathis and Presley Tate.
