As we bid Nellie farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Nellie is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ottis Bellenger and Myrtle Bellenger; her husband Rev. James G. Berry; and her brother Robert L. Bellenger. She is survived by: her daughters, Alisa Bennett (Doug), Dana Bullard (Len) and Carol Bowen (Dale); and her great grandchildren, Samuel and Ellie Bowen. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Grace Fellowship Church (1300 Columbiana Rd, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216).
