He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Tayler Ezell Sr. and Elizabeth Powell Ezell; his wife Sherry Eady Ezell; and his brothers, Clark Ezell, Charles Ezell and Robert Ezell.

He is survived by: his daughter Angelia Ezell Hart of Athens Alabama; his grandchildren, Parker Alexander Hyde, James Bryant Hyde, Olivia Lorene Hart, Logan Michael Hart and Landon David Hart; and his great grandchild Isla Mae Hyde.
