He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Presley Harvey; his daughter-in-law Nancy Coats Harvey; and his great grandchildren, Melanie Taylor and Joshua Taylor. He is survived by: his children, Judy Cross (Woody) and David Harvey; his grandchildren, Cynthia Taylor, Jenny Davis (Vince), Joseph Cross (Amy), Mary Goss (Tyler) and Ashley Fontenot (Robert); and his great grandchildren, Daniel Taylor (Annie), Andrew Taylor, James Davis, Matthew Davis, Adalynn Goss, Branson Goss and Nate Cross.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alabama Baptist Children's Home.
